The 58th Diocesan Convention

Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026

The Light of Life

“Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

– John 8:12

November 2026 Convention Information

We look forward to gathering as a diocesan family for the 58th Convention of the Diocese of Central Florida on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne. As Convention approaches, this page will provide the important information delegates need to prepare.

This second Convention of 2026 begins a new annual November to November schedule for the diocese, a change made in response to requests from our churches. This yearly rhythm allows clergy and lay leaders to prepare for Convention ahead of a busy holiday season and enables approval of the diocesan budget before the start of the calendar year.

We invite you to take part in this meaningful one-day Convention as we celebrate our shared ministry and help shape the life of our diocese together. Our time will include worship, fellowship, the bishop's Convention address, elections and votes on any proposed amendments and resolutions.

The Light of Life

This theme represents the first movement in our next three-year diocesan Convention cycle: Gospel, Church, Mission. In November 2026, we focus on the gospel itself — that Jesus Christ, the light of life, comes into our darkness to draw us to himself by his grace. And just as Christ gathers us by this gospel light, so in the years to come he will nurture his Church as the light of the world and send us on mission as a light for the nations.

“Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12

Exhibitor Displays

Because of the condensed format of the one-day November 2026 Convention, exhibitor display space will not be available this year.

We look forward to welcoming exhibitors in November 2027, when ministries, organizations and service providers will once again have the opportunity to connect with clergy and lay leaders from across the Diocese of Central Florida.

Pre-Convention Deanery Meetings

Materials for discussion at the pre-Convention deanery meetings, including the proposed 2027 diocesan budget and proposed resolutions, will be posted on this Convention information page.

Any delegate unable to attend the meeting in his/her deanery is welcome to attend another deanery meeting. However, delegates may vote only in their own deanery elections.
